What a homeschool week can look like
An example rhythm many families start with — adjust it to your child’s age and your family’s routine.
- 01
Every day
Quran recitation and memorization (20–30 min), Arabic (20–30 min), and one or two academic lessons.
- 02
Across the week
Rotate math, English, science and social studies so each gets regular time; add Islamic Studies two or three times.
- 03
End of the week
Use the self-assessment quizzes to review, then plan next week’s lessons together.

Homeschooling rules depend on where you live
Some countries and states ask families to notify or register with a local authority, keep records, or sit exams; a few do not allow homeschooling at all. Please check the requirements where you live — our admissions team is happy to talk through how the self-study program fits your situation.
Homeschool program questions
What is Ithraa’s Islamic homeschool program?
It is the self-study version of Ithraa’s KG–12 school: recorded video lessons, downloadable materials and self-assessment quizzes that your child follows at home, at their own pace. It combines Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies with English, math, science and social studies built on American academic standards.
Which grades does it cover?
Kindergarten through Grade 12, in three stages: elementary (KG–Grade 5), middle school (Grades 6–8) and high school (Grades 9–12).
How much does the self-study program cost?
Tuition is per student per year: elementary from $900, middle school from $1,150 and high school from $1,250 in eligible regions, and $100 more per year elsewhere. Sibling discounts are available.
Is it really self-paced?
Yes. Lessons are recorded and materials can be downloaded, so there are no fixed class times — your child can learn whenever it suits your family.
Will my child still learn Quran and Arabic?
Yes. Quran (recitation, tajweed and memorization), Arabic and Islamic Studies are part of the curriculum at every stage, alongside the academic subjects.
What is the difference between self-study and live online classes?
Both follow the same curriculum. Live online students join classes with certified teachers four days a week, four sessions a day. Self-study students learn from recorded lessons and materials on their own schedule, at a lower tuition.
